GUTEN TAG, HALLO

This is your trusty environmental monitress again. It is currently 12:04am. I WANT TO SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!! Um, anyway, just wanted to keep you guys updated on the environmental competition.

As you all probably know by now, all environmental monitresses are supposed to take a picture with a plant and write a poem about your feelings towards plants.. hm.
Well here's our entry! Plus the poem which I totally killed myself over, I couldn't find anything better to rhyme with lalang so yeah.

lol joan will totally murder me if she sees this

Look outside your window but I won't guarantee you'll find
A venus flytrap and other plants of the carnivorous kind
Nevertheless they prove to be such fascinating things
When an unsuspecting fly lands neatly on the slightly curved, green wings
That clamp shut around the creature in a blink of an eye or less
Its fate is sealed such a morbid way to die I have assessed
Of course not all the plants have garnered liking for the flesh
There are those that don gay yellows and look forever fresh
Like the cheery sunflower in its obscenely bright sundress
And the coy coquettish roses standing all dressed to impress
Then there are the common plants that can be found around Kallang
From the introverted touch-me-not to the willowy lalang

Yes if the first thing that came to your mind was the National Geog article on carnivorous plants then you guessed right, for some reason I felt inspired to write about it. Well I can't be bothered re-reading it and whatnot, right now I just. Want. To. SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!! kthxbye
